My last full day in Australia turned out very well indeed. The hotel concierge had booked on my behalf, an all too brief visit to the wonderfully scenic Rottnest Island. Having to pack for leaving tomorrow, I shall just post some pictures taken today. I shall write again soon.

Just watching Sir Tony Robinson’s TV series going around Australia by train as you come to the end of your Australian adventures. Just wait there will be lots of poms doing your journey next year as a result!!

Many thanks for your blog comments. These are useful and encouraging. I am just wondering which bits of the Australian Railways Sir Tony Robinson covered. I covered a great area, but there are many journeys, particularly in Queensland I would like to cover. The hard bit is over, and I am feeling degree of achievement!
Now, I prepare for a flight to Singapore, no upgrades available.
