Sounds like a good day you have planned David. Glad to see you have the aquariums on your itinerary. The waterfall is a wonder to see!

Hello Lee,
Many thanks for your blog reply. I didn’t make it to the Aquarium unfortunately. Also, by the time I arrived at my hotel after a day’s activities, I was exhausted! All being well, this will not be my last trip to Singapore, and perhaps I will have more time. I have to leave at 12.05pm for my 2.15pm flight to Dubai. I am now in Premium Economy. I did the Flyer, Marina Bay Sands Hotel Sky Park (two areas), a river cruise and tea at The Fullerton. The heavens opened; I took a taxi back to my hotel and got stuck in heavy traffic. The light show at Gardens By The Bay was astonishing with fabulous classical music synchronised with the vast display. The Great Gate of Kiev finale “brought tears”. I feel as if I owe it to myself to cram as much in as possible. However, prevailing health conditions dictate otherwise, occasionally. The very humid weather gave rise to a tremendous down-pour and thunderstorm. In my hotel, there is a 5th floor Chinese Restaurant. I tried it out…excellent and very different. Tomorrow, I revisit the QE2 in Dubai. Then, the homeward voyage. Today is Day 49 of 73. There is a definite feeling of “homeward bound” as the time difference decreases with each part of the journey.
All the best,
David.
